Lesson 2 is an introduction to basic safe firearm handling practices.

By the end of this lesson you should be able to:
  • State the Vital Four ACTS of firearm safety.
  • Describe the five steps necessary to PROVE that a firearm is safe to handle.
  • Describe basic safety practices with respect to storing firearms and ammunition, loading firearms, and when to safely discharge them.
  • Name two firearm-locking devices and understand how they work.
